NCPWB has a deep and abiding belief in codes and has always promoted compliance with them. Such compliance produces sound welds and is economical for both contractor and owner. It saves resources that would otherwise be wasted in going back to correct errors.
Each WPS and BPS developed by NCPWB has been reviewed by the Hartford Steam Boiler Inspection and Insurance Company, one of the largest insurers of pressure vessels in the U.S., who concurs they comply with the ASME Section IX, Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code.
The Bureau has a Technical Committee responsible for developing welding/brazing procedures for all approved methods of welding/brazing that meet the requirements of ASME, AWS, NFPA and other Codes.
