Rob Weise
MSC President
Vice President, Mechanical Division – Operations, Hooper Corporation
Rob Weise is the Vice President of the Mechanical Division-Operations at Hooper Corporation and was appointed President of Madison Area Mechanical and Sheet Metal Contractors Association in 2025. Weise received his Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Wisconsin-Platteville. Prior to joining Hooper Corporation’s General Heating and Air Conditioning in 2013, Weise brought more than 20 years of professional experience managing various projects for General Contractors. He took on his current role at Hooper Corporation in 2021. He also won “Project Manager of the Year” in 2012 and was awarded InBusiness Magazine’s “40 under 40” in 2010.
Danny Johnson

Regional Operations Manager, The Waldinger Corporation/Commercial Air, Inc.
Danny Johnson is the Regional Operations Manager with The Waldinger Corporation – Commercial Air, Inc. and was appointed to Vice President of the Madison Area Mechanical and Sheet Metal Contractors Association in 2025. A graduate of Montana Technological University with an Associate Degree in Computer Technology, Johnson began his career at The Waldinger Corporation as a Project Manager in May of 2022, and was later promoted to Regional Operations Manager in January 2024. Prior to joining Waldinger, Johnson spent nearly 10 years as an Estimator and Assistant Project Manager with Air Temperature Services, Inc.
Tim Olstad
MSC Secretary Treasurer
Operations Manager, 1901 Inc.
Tim Olstad is the Operations Manager of 1901 Inc. and was appointed Secretary/ Treasurer of Madison Area Mechanical and Sheet Metal Contractors Association in 2025. With over 20 years of experience in the industry, Olstad began his career as a Journeyman Steamfitter, where he gained experience in large commercial and industrial projects. His experience and detailed approach in executing projects led to a transition into Project Management. In this role, he successfully managed large-scale projects, overseeing teams, budgets, and timelines to ensure that each project was completed efficiently and to the highest standards. Now serving as Operations Manager, Olstad draws upon his diverse background to optimize operational processes, drive continuous improvement, and ensure smooth, efficient day-to-day operations across the organization. His depth of experience across both the technical and management sides of the industry has been instrumental in his success and continued leadership. Olstad has been with 1901 Inc for 15 years.
Legacy Award
The MSC/MAPC Lifetime Achievement Award, or Legacy Award, was created to recognize and promote Contractor Members who have made significant contributions to the plumbing, mechanical or sheet metal industries. It is bestowed upon individuals who have demonstrated a long history of service and dedication to the Madison Association.
History of MSC
The Madison Area Mechanical & Sheet Metal Contractors Association, Inc. (MSC) was formed when the Mechanical Contractors Association of Madison, Inc. (formerly Heating, Piping & Air Conditioning Contractors – Madison Association, 1946) and the Sheet Metal Contractors National Association of Madison, Wisconsin (circa 1958) were consolidated in 1987. MSC strives to promote better relations between private owners, public bodies, architects, engineers, unions, Heating, Piping, Air Conditioning and Sheet Metal Contractors. These objectives are carried out through education, training, promotion, and communication.
