MAPC Announces New Board Members
MADISON, WI – Madison Association of Plumbing Contractors (MAPC) is pleased to announce the appointment of Chris Behrendt, P.E., General Manager at J. F. Ahern Co. to MAPC President; Tory Miller, P.E., Vice President of 1901 Inc., to MAPC Vice President, and Anthony Statz, Plumbing Department Manager at Hooper Corporation to MAPC Secretary/Treasurer, Executive Director Julie Walsh announced on Tuesday.
Behrendt is a graduate of University of Wisconsin-Madison with a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering, has over 20 years of experience in the construction industry. Behrendt has been the General Manager of J. F. Ahern Co. for four years, and with the company for nearly 20 years.
Miller has over 20 years of experience in the construction industry following his graduation with a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering (Construction Emphasis) from the University of Wisconsin – Platteville. He joined 1901 Inc. as a Project Manager in December 2018 and was promoted to his current role of Vice President in January 2020.
A Journeyman Plumber, Statz joined Hooper Corporation as a Plumbing Foreman in April 2012 before moving up the ranks as a General Superintendent to a Project Manager to his current role as a Department Manager. Statz is bringing nearly 20 years of plumbing experience to the MAPC Board.
The MAPC Board Members serve in their positions for two-year terms. The board oversees the non-profit organization that works to promote professionalism, safety and productivity of construction and services through education, labor relations, public relations, and government affairs.
