MSC Announces New Board Members

MADISON, WI – Madison Area Mechanical & Sheet Metal Contractors Association (MSC) is pleased to announce the appointment of Rob Weise, Vice President of Hooper Corporation, to MSC President, Danny Johnson, Regional Operations Manager at The Waldinger Corporation to MSC Vice President, and Tim Olstad, Operations Manager at 1901 Inc., to MSC Secretary/Treasurer, Executive Director Julie Walsh announced on Tuesday.

Weise received his Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Wisconsin-Platteville. Prior to joining Hooper Corporation’s General Heating and Air Conditioning in 2013, Weise brought more than 20 years of professional experience managing various projects for General Contractors. He took on his current role at Hooper Corporation in 2021. He also won “Project Manager of the Year” in 2012 and was awarded InBusiness Magazine’s “40 under 40” in 2010.

Johnson, a graduate of Montana Technological University with an Associate Degree in Computer Technology, began his career at The Waldinger Corporation as a Project Manager in May of 2022, and was later promoted to Regional Operations Manager in January of 2024. Prior to joining Waldinger, Johnson spent nearly 10 years as an Estimator and Assistant Project Manager with Air Temperature Services, Inc.

With over 20 years of experience in the industry, Olstad began his career as a Journeyman Steamfitter, where he gained experience in large commercial and industrial projects. His experience and detailed approach in executing projects led to a transition into Project Management. In this role, he successfully managed large-scale projects, overseeing teams, budgets, and timelines to ensure that each project was completed efficiently and to the highest standards. Now serving as Operations Manager, Olstad draws upon his diverse background to optimize operational processes, drive continuous improvement, and ensure smooth, efficient day-to-day operations across the organization. His depth of experience across both the technical and management sides of the industry has been instrumental in his success and continued leadership. Olstad has been with 1901 Inc. for 15 years.

The MSC Board Members serve in their positions for two-year terms. The board oversees the non-profit organization that works to promote professionalism, safety and productivity of construction and services through education, labor relations, public relations, and government affairs.
